Tutorial: HTML DESCRIPTION & TERMS TEXT FORMATTING

Formatting Your eBay Descriptions

To add styling to your item descriptions you can use HTML formatting tags. It is not difficult to add basic tags. See examples below.

Line break: <br>
Paragraph: <p>Your information here</p>
Add bold: <b>Your information here</b>
Add italics: <i>Your information here</i>
Add underline: <u>Your information here</u>

Making a bullet list:

<ul>
   <li>Your information here</li>
   <li>Your information here</li>
   <li>Your information here</li>
</ul>

Important Warning: if you use any HTML tags in your description to override the template settings, the display of your listings may not be optimal. We do not recommend using a WYSIWYG editor or MSWord to create your descriptions. We do not recommend using advanced HTML tags such as "div" tags or other block elements. If you break your template by using advanced HTML tags, we can troubleshoot it for you but there will be a charge applied. Please contact us for details if you need further assistance.
